Toyota 4 runner 2012 is a midsized SUV. It comes as two-wheel and a four-wheel drive and is an excellent on or off road vehicle. . 4 runners were launched in 1984 since then the company has produced various models. To keep a track of different models company has grouped them in generations for example, first (1984-1989), second (1989-1995), third (1995-2002), fourth (2002-2009) and fifth (2009-present). First generation 4runner was mechanically based on Toyota pickup. It had 2 doors and was indistinguishable from the forward dashboard from the pickups. The previous models of 4 runners had issued and suffered from a sagging back suspension.

Nearly all second generation 4Runners were 4-door models. Both the first and second generation 4Runners became targeted as dangerous SUVs. The third generations 4Runner are now viewed as a luxury-oriented vehicle. The fourth-generation 4Runner has integrated severe alterations to the framework and build of the SUV. Toyota’s has incorporated its Star Safety System all Toyota 4runners. Toyota 4runner 2012 is the fifth generation version.

Except for a couple of a different color options, this SUV is a re-design of 2011 model just a re-design. It falls into the category of medium-sized 4Runner.

There are three models of 2012 Toyota 4 Runner SR5, Sport and Limited, and all have five speed automatic transmission. 4Runner is available as the rear and all-wheel drive. V6 engine powered models can tow 5,000 pounds, while V8-engined models can tow 7300 pounds. The EPA gas millage assessment of V6 engine is 14 miles per gallon on city streets and 17 miles per gallon on the highway. 4Runner equipped with a V8 engine has EPA gas millage ratings of16 miles per gallon on city streets and 20 miles per gallon on the highway.
